I will require a fully proofed, edited and record-ready manuscript. As I prepare the manuscript for recording, I will make notes and create a Word.docx with questions for you - no matter how obvious they may seem. I will attach that document to an email for you to make your responses - possibly in a different colored font. Then you can send that document back to me and I will pin it up in my recording booth for reference. It will serve as my guideline during the recording process.

I have over a decade of experience in recording, editing and mastering my audiobooks - some 200+ and counting. And coaching other narrators how to do so. Not only the acting and storytelling. But with the technical aspects as well. Such as: How to properly set up a sound deadened, reflection-free recording environment. What microphones and/or audio interfaces to purchase and why. I am also well versed in several different recording software or DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations).

You can reach me anytime via my contact page or directly by email. I check my email several times a day and respond as quickly as possible —usually the same business day.

I am what is known in audio engineering circles as a Gear Slut. I have had many combinations and configurations over the years. Here is my current setup.
A meticulously constructed a Home Studio Vocal Booth of my own design. It is a Room-Within-A-Room in the den on the second floor of my home.
My current go-to recording equipment: MOTU M6 audio interface - Lewitt LCT 440 Pure microphone - senal SMH-1200 headphones - Windows 10 PC.
Other microphones include: Roswell mini K87 - Studio Projets C1 (U87 EQ Mod) - TechZone Stellar X3 - Sennheiser MKH-416 (shotgun) - Audiotechnica AT875R (shotgun).
REAPER is my DAW of choice. I use it in conjunction with iZotope RX11 Standard for processing and cleanup.
I built a speed demon of a Gaming PC from scratch with more than enough processing power and on-site file storage for recording, mastering, and storing audiobook recordings. And like any packrat, I save everything! Rest assured that my recordings will never get lost in The Cloud.
